Before you sign your mortgage renewal give me a call!

Spring is finally here according to the calendar…..however the weather tells a different story!
Along with most other Canadians I am keeping my fingers crossed that the snow melts giving the flowers a chance to bud and for the grass to turn green.
This time of year, is busy for the Holly Cochrane Mortgage Team. Clients are looking to purchase new homes and also a portion of our time goes to helping other clients refinance their mortgages. We also get calls from clients about their mortgage renewals. Generally, around this time lenders and banks start sending out their mortgage renewal offers to clients.
A mortgage renewal is when your current mortgage terms have come to maturity and the bank or lender sends you a new agreement and offer. The renewal would highlight new mortgage rates and amortization schedule.
Unfortunately, most people skim over the documents and sign the renewal without doing their research. This is where we come in and can help! With our team’s expertise, we can ensure that you get the best mortgage rate and term that suits you and your family.
Let’s explore how we can help you below:
A mortgage broker will give you a second opinion.
It is always in your best interest to get a second opinion. Although your current bank or lender claims that their offer is the best, this might not be the case. With the help of your mortgage broker they can review your current financial situation and explore different options and present those to you. The mortgage broker will shop around for the best mortgage rate available.
We pull your credit report only once.
When clients complete an application with us we only pull your credit report once. With the single report we are able to explore many different lenders. Having this capability doesn’t lower your credit score because there is only one inquiry on your report. If you were to go to different banks on your own each bank would pull your credit report, thus lowering your score.
We work for YOU at no extra cost to you.
It is a myth that there are extra costs associated to the homeowners when dealing with a mortgage broker. This is NOT true. The homeowners do not have to compensate the mortgage broker and our services are free!
It is easy to see the benefits of dealing with our mortgage team. Our level of knowledge and expertise allows us to assist our clients to the maximum. Before you sign your mortgage renewal, give us a call so that we can go to work for you and help you secure the best mortgage option possible!
Goodbye Paperwork.
